The only 1972 (MkI) "works train" as such is the four-car Asset Inspection Train, which returned to Northfields in June. As far as I know, it hasn't ventured outside the depot confines yet.

There is a four-car 1972 MkI at London Road which has been there since 5/11/98 for "Bakerloo Line Engineering" but it hasn't left the depot since it arrived there.

There are no 1967 "works trains".

Whether there will be any more once the mass withdrawal of the 1967s takes place, I don't know.

Not a clue I'm afraid. Should have been out ages ago.

Has it had its official launch yet? IIRC pictures of it were pulled from online because tubelines wanted to wait for its launch

The train hasn't had it's launch yet. It's still in Northfields depot, number 1 road, gathering dust!.

I was actually wondering why that 1972 MkI train was sitting there, having seen it quite a few times (rather faintly) from passing trains.

I got a feeling that 72 stock is cursed! Ever since it stalled at Turnham Green and broke down at West Kensington in Feb 2007

I did ask around and they told me they are not supposed to say anything about it
Funny enough there are plenty of pics of it at Doncaster Wabtec, that Preserved Railway site (I don't know the name)
