This evening 6/11/09?

Any idea what was goign on this evening around 5.30pm?

Held upstairs at Canary Wharf for 10 minutes as there had been a suspended service or something before I got there.

Had to wait for the 3rd tube to get on - get to Canada Water and hear the station being evacuated because of some incident with the train on the other platform - comments such as "burning smell" would tend to imply the obvious - but was this connected with the earlier suspension at all?

Suffice to say, this evening has not been one of the smoothest!

Yes, the suspension was due to this incident at Canada Water, which was a fire alert, at least if you believe the TfL website!

The Waterloo & City line has also had delays due to defective trains, and the District and Hammersmith & City lines have been suffering delays due to signalling problems in the Barking area!

Like I said, not a great evening!

Re Jubilee,alleged smoke issuing from train,LFB in attendance.Job only just getting right now,controller will have to earn his corn tonight at the moment SMD is +5 on stock balance!!
