Yes, I remember that episode well even though I was only 8 - 9 years old when I first saw it. As they were not restricted to travelling on rails I would expect they simply would have gone through the corridors at Oxford Circus or Holborn to get onto the Central line.

In relation to the question, don't forget that Thunderbirds is set in the 2060's and all sorts of extensions could have been made by then.

DLR Extension from Bank
Bakerloo Line Branch Off to Bank
Piccadilly Line Branch Off to Bank
W&C Extension from Waterloo
Or even a whole new line altogether

Being fictional the possibilities are endless.
Now lets all hope that in the 2060's LU hasn't been abandoned.

I think they must be arriving at Bank's Northern line platforms as they say they're going to look for the "elevator shaft"...

The vaults would be accessed from the Central line tunnels so it seems they arrived at Bank Northern line platforms then went up the elevator shaft to get to the Central line platforms when they could have just gone via Oxford Circus or Holborn to get to the Central line.

Remembering my previous quote on this subject in a previous post, if set in 2060-68 "granny" says in the clip that her Grandmother had told about the 'abandoned London subway' when she was a little girl!

Doing some quick calculations, it should've gone by now!!!

Many years ago my Brother interviewed a former wartime ATA pilot, Joan Hughes, for what turned out to be an abortive article in one of the airplane mags. She recounted that, for a sequence in the movie 'Thunderbird 6', she was asked to fly a Tiger Moth under a bridge on the, as yet, unopened M40 for a live action shot to be mixed in with the puppet scenes. The film unit were refused permission to fly under the bridge and were told to land and taxi under it. Joan Hughes insisted that it would actually be safer to fly under the bridge so this is what they did. They were taken to court and in order to prove that they were acting in the best interests of safety they took a scale model of the M40 built by the scenery department that took up most of the courtroom!
