Having looked through Solidbonds excellent photos, i noticed the following pic @ Ealing Broadway.... www.solid-bond.co.uk/LUArchive/html/co_cp_farewell_tour_14.htmlIn the background, is this the current station building? The district line seems to have very little behind it's trainshed which suggests that you can use the entrance/exit here? Also the building above the station looks different too..... Anyone knows what went on here?

The office tower block has been re-clad in recent years, giving it a different finish. The original District only ticket office was at the far end of the trainshed, this was closed in the 1960s, when combined with the Central and WR in the new (still existing) booking hall. Another photo: www.solid-bond.co.uk/LUArchive/html/83_stock_tour_12.html The office block has been expanded as well as re-clad I think. They must have just knocked a wall through to the new booking office as everything else in the District train shed looks original. The rest of the station is a hole and needs rebuilding before Crossrail is finished and (hopefully) the Leaf is built.

I always regret not climbing that staircase on the office block to get a photo looking down on the station. In those more innocent days, it was fully accessable from the LT station.
