I wonder if the sticking point is the low level platforms at Canning Town? I notice the slabs are being lifted again, for what must be the third time. If only that was the only thing.

Do feel free to elaborate. What may seem like naivety on my part is down to the lack of information that anyone else has managed to glean as to why the opening keeps getting put back 3 months at a time every 3 months. Perhaps you know what they're digging for under Canning Town platforms. Maybe it was discovered that the works at Canning Town were disturbing the wildlife ecology of Bow Creek and they're having to construct a replacement badget sett or something?!?!?! Whatever the reason, I'm sure many folks on here would love to know. And I think what with so many test trains running and with Boris on board, the rumour about it being cable thefts seems to have been dismissed by most if not all. Unless I've missed something (or corrective posts are only being sent by PM to selected individuals) that particular theory was never proven or confirmed by anyone who actually *knew*.

And, just to think... only a few years ago, there would have been 313's there!
Nice pics

12 x 2 car trains running today between CAT and STI. Lord, that's an unfortunate abbreviation for Stratford. Hope that it is definitely open in time for the Westfield opening.

12 x 2 car trains running today between CAT and STI. Yes i saw many trains running today, backing up into West Ham. At West Ham the DLR platforms had the departure screens on and showing the wait for the next train, trains were stopping opening the doors and the member of staff doing the usual procedure before departing

12 x 2 car trains running today between CAT and STI. Moderator Comment
In the interests of clarity, please try to avoid the use of abbreviations for stations. Not everyone knows that CAT means Canning Town or that STI means Stratford International.
Many thanks!

Thanks for the positive comments to my photos, I have loads more of the extension.
So were they doing an "everyday running" test today?

From what I saw in passing and the descriptions on this thread, it would seem likely to be staff training/familiarisation taking place today.
