But I understand that the 29th of September is a special payed tour, not something you can use normal tickets on, to experience the last day of 'normal running', rather than a tour carrying purely enthusiasts. So from this, Friday 28th of September should in theory see one last A Stock running in peak hour services.

A Stock 5 July 2012
Er Hello (sheepishly) again,
I did say 'probably' when I did my so called last 'A' a couple of weeks ago. No will power obviously. Read on.
Today's offering.
414 5103N 5094S
This set was taken out of service at 15.50 Baker St South(3) with defective doors, ran empty to the city and empty back to Neasden.
452 5119N 5062S 455 5189N 5034S 462 5XXXN 5116S (north end unit presumably 5231) 463 5090N 5061S
Now set 455 was reformed at Baker Street (4) at 18.30 into 4xx mumble mumble and became a fast Amersham, non stop Finchley Road to Harrow then Moor Park etc. On arrival at Amersham in platform 1 (!) it then left empty SB and reappeared some 20 minutes later(!), presumably having done the Chalfont & Latimer rusty rail move. Not having a WTT, I left Amersham on a SB Turbo and finished my 'A's for the day.
Re 81stock's above post. Set 463 which was an 'A' in the pm peak, I THINK stables at Watford overnight and I THINK forms 455 tomorrow (Friday) which is a midday off peak working on the Watford/Uxbridge - Baker Streets so hope that helps.

No A stocks seen in serevice yesterday, both North and South of the suspension. Does anybody know whether any will be in service today?

Re 81stock's above post. Set 463 which was an 'A' in the pm peak, I THINK stables at Watford overnight and I THINK forms 455 tomorrow (Friday) which is a midday off peak working on the Watford/Uxbridge - Baker Streets so hope that helps. On Fri 6th I arrived at Baker Street, only to find it full of S-stocks. I took a mixture of S and C stock to Aldgate and back, only to arrive back into Baker Street at the same time as an eastbound A stock, led by 5034. After sprinting through the subway (!) I took this set to Aldgate, and then all the way from Aldgate to Uxbridge (5189 on the front), and then back to Baker Street to complete the round-trip. I also managed to catch this set later the same day, from Moor Park to Kings Cross. I saw one other A-stock around this time, leaving Neasden depot while I was on my way past, heading for Baker Street. Something failed at Barbican while I was at Harrow-on-the-Hill, and this caused two S-stocks to detrain there, and everything else was announced as only running to Baker Street. No decent pictures, as I only had my terrible phone cam, but here's 5189 at Uxbridge: ...and a retro-looking sign on the droplight in 6189 (I think): p.s. I thought I saw someone I thought I recognised, boarding the A-stock at Uxbridge; I have a terrible memory for faces, so if it was one of you then I apologise for not saying "hi".

No doubt it was 5062-5119 you saw entering service from Neasden Depot as that set was in service for the evening peak as well as the other three already indicated.
21045/046 was in Moorgate Platform 4 at 1730 and appeared to be out of service. This may have been the train that failed at Barbican earlier?
