Having been addicted to Sprocle quizzes for some time now I've recently created a couple. The third one is relevant to this forum, so I hope the mods don't mind my advertising it here. There are 104 unique last words in multi-word station names on the current tube map, the task is to name the first word(s) for one station that accompanies them. For example given "Street" you could enter "King William" (if it were a current station). To play, just go to www.sporcle.com/games/Thryduulf/tube-map-by-last-word then feel free to share here how well you did (or didn't!) do!

91 which wasn't bad... some of the stations that I missed I'd never heard of either, so I guess that's a good thing!

Really good quiz... I got 90 but my brain went blank on some silly ones once the answers were revealed!

I'm amazed. You got 79 out of 104 answers correct I misread the instructions and initially only put the first word but had time left to correct a few

my brain went blank on some silly ones once the answers were revealed! Getting obscure ones while missing easy ones is known as Sporcleitis!

I must be a tube geek, as I got all 104 with 3:44 remaining!

I got all 50 US States with 1:23 to spare although the spelling of Massachusetts lost me some time as I only got the spelling correct on the fourth try. The thing to remember is the Carolinas and the Dakotas have a North and a South with each a separate state. I don't actually know anyone in the US - other than online contacts - so nobody to brag to.

Great quiz indeed! I got 96/104. I can't believe which ones I missed though (Covent Garden, Maida Vale, Shepherd's Bush Market etc.) and it's really quite a challenge.

When I was at university at Swansea, I drunkenly challenged an American girl to name all 50 states the fastest. It was tight, but I got to 50 when she was on 49. I know she missed Nevada but can't remember what the last one I got was.

<snip> Meanwhile I note that nobody has attempted today's quiz on here yet... That's because it's nigh on impossible to work out, even for one of your fiendish ones!

That one's more challenging than it sounds with only two minutes! I got 17/22 and missed D, K, R, U and V.

97, the annoying thing is that I know I would've got the rest straight away without hesitation if only I'd got there in time.
I feel I'd be sure to get them all on a second attempt.

103 correct with 4:06 remaining. Spent the last 4 minutes desperately scowering my tube map trying to find a station with V in it. I idiotically forgot about King George V. Could probably get all 104 now in the same amount of time, although it doesn't quite sound as impressive if it's not on the first attempt.

Another Sporcle quiz for you good folk: Just name as many words as you can from the names of Underground, Overground, DLR and cable car stations that are valid in Scrabble. You have 20 minutes. www.sporcle.com/games/Thryduulf/underground-scrabbleThere are 178 of them, and I'll be very impressed if anyone gets them all. I've played this lots of times in testing and my best is 153.
