I tend to agree. To most people, a train is a train, and the type of train is largely irrelevant.

Goes for me too. It's not important. As enthusiasts we erroneously tend to think that everybody else is outraged as we are when we read such inaccurate reporting. I said it before once....."The Battle Of Britain" film. Set in 1940 it features several Spitfires with tear-drop canopies (not until 1944) and Bf109s with Merlin engines (Spanish ones from the late 40s). I can barely watch it due to this but most people don't give a toss as they have the advantage of not being as anal as me about WWII fighters!

What you're all failing to see is that, although it isn't mentioned directly, following the power upgrades the Met will be switching to smaller trains, just to make those all-stations journeys from Aldgate to Chesham even comfier. So the picture, I'm afraid, is fairly accurate ;D
