On some tube maps, including Circle in-car schematics, the circle line is shown as a closed loop with trains travelling clockwise and anti-clockwise on inner and outer lines. On other maps, Circle line is shown with an Edgware Road to Hammersmith leg sharing platforms with Hammersmith & City.
Can anyone explain if/when these stations (Paddington, Royal Oak, Westbourne Park, Ladbroke Grove, Latimer Road, Wood Lane, Shepherds Bush, Goldhawk Road Hammersmith) are available as Circle line service?

They are since the Circle line was "extended" to Hammersmith (with services running from Hammersmith to Edgware Road via Aldgate) in December 2009.

Except occasionally in times of disruption (and possibly some very early or very late services) all Circle Line trains now run Hammersmith-Edgware Road-King's Cross St. Pancras-Aldgate-South Kensington-High Street Kensington-Edgware Road and then reverse and return to Hammersmith via High Street Kensington etc.

All official maps now show the 'Hammersmith & Circle Line', any 3 rd party maps that still have the Circle Line are well out of date and may be missing information. |

All stations on the Hammersmith branch are promoted as having Circle and H&C line services.

Thanks for the responses. I haven't manage to find an image of the Circle Line in-car schematic featuring the Hammersmith leg.
I am London tomorrow but will only be travelling backwards and forwards between Euston and Victoria but if I have time, I may make a detour.

I took the Circle Line from Victoria to Euston instead of the usual direct Victoria Line to take a look at Edgware Road and the current in-car map.
Very 'clunky' operation I have to say... stopping in the approach tunnel which presumably most north-bound trains have to do now to let the previous train reverse out of the way on its journey back south.
I don't like the new Circle in-car schematic because it features sections of other lines so will prepare a new one for my purpose.

The 'C' Stock trains used on the Circle line are also used on the Hammersmith & City line, and on the District Line between Edgware Road and Wimbledon. Just as Circle line trains have the H&C and the District on their maps, a C stock working a District line has the H&C and the Circle line on it's map, in addition to the District. |

The new S stock circle line maps have both the Hammersmith & City line, and Circle line diagrams on the same sheet, and the entire district line on the other. In my opinion, it is far cleaner and easier to read tham the current C stock maps
