Given the itinerary, how much is a one day travel card for whatever zones we're covering please? (would use my PAYG oyster, but as rincew1nd has already pointed out, we'll be quite marginal by the time we're back at Edgware Road) You will need an Off-Peak Zone 1-3 paper travelcard, costing £8 for adults.

I have just booked a flight to England, not one I'm looking forward to. My father passed away earlier today and we bid him farewell on Wednesday Dec 11. I don't think I will make it for the first part of the day, much as I would like to, but I will certainly try to make it for pub portion of the meet and hopefully meet some more of our great members.

Any ideas what sort of prices we're looking at for drinks? They have their food prices displayed on the website but not the drinks!

Whether I have your email address depends on which member of forum staff you are Somewhere between 2 and 6 copies per part is usual.

For the benefit of those of us who have never been to The Volunteer before, can someone post a rough guide as to what we're looking at price wise for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks please?

About three quid a pint if my memory serves me correctly, though it may not. Other stuff, I don't remember. You'll like it there

Yeah, I'll do it, no probs. I think you've got my email address. Didn't we normally do about six copies per 'round'? Whoops, sorry, that's the account I use for approving accounts. I'll tidy that up when I'm back home later. It's Londonstuff

For those unable to join us for the social you can now join in online! Chris M has released the details of his Bonus Quiz. OK, so it's not quite the same as sitting around a table folding up the printed out versions, holding them next to each other and literally joining up the pieces - but all good fun!

I was rather hoping to turn up to this social, but events have conspired to make it impossible. All the very best to those who do, and Michael, all the very best in turning them from referring to it as a "meet" [/shudder] I may may be able to participate via Face Time if we have the bandwidth! Either way. All the very best to all participants and hope you have a grand day out. Rich

Re beer prices, this claims to be a current list of their beers, and lists Sharpes Doom Bar as £3.55. That looks pretty standard for London (maybe even on the cheap side), but not Wetherspoons territory either. I'm hoping to be at Arsenal for circa 10:40, assuming that FCC remember to send a train. I have some interesting information regarding steam traction that I shouldn't put online, but which is definitely safe to share in the pub.

Currently approaching Royston on a train that insists on telling me where it is going every two minutes.
Cambridge station was apocalyptic. Queue for automatic ticket machines out if door. Queue for humans significantly shorter.
