Evening folks,
As per the title of the thread, I was wonder if there was a possibility of the A Stock being put on for a running day this year. Specifically the Rickmansworth Canal Celebrations?

It would be great if it could happen. Last year was an excellent day with both the 38 Stock and 5110/11 running. What is the present status of 5234, is it still graffiti damaged?
With the forthcoming demise of D Stock could this years leaf cleaning season be the finale of A Stock RAT runs? If I recall that was the long term plan.

I hope not. The A stock are great for leaf clearing!
I'm hoping that 5110 or 5234 will come out to play this year.

Sadly, I have to report that 5235 is still visibly damaged as of the last time I saw it (about 2 weeks ago from a passing train), yet it's bad that it can be seen to be damaged despite being parked up at the back of the depot. It would be fantastic to have at least one last ride on an A Stock, this year and next two years will be the only times I can realistically do it.

I too was hoping 'Mr A' would make an appearance for the Ricky festival. I am getting severe withdrawal symptoms and have resorted to watching You Tube videos of the A stock in action  |
