Bit of advice please from you station lot! Last night I went from Putney - Waterloo (SWT) then Waterloo - Baker Street (TfL) all using a PAYG Oyster. However tapping into the tube at Waterloo was a bit manic as it was full of rugby fans struggling with paper tickets (bless 'em). The barriers were already open and although I thought I'd touched in, it turns out I hadn't. So my trip from Putney - Baker Street totalled £7.30 with the 'no touch in' charge added, almost double the usual fare of £3.60 (which it was on my way back).
Is there a way to get this refunded at all?
Ta very much!

Just call the Oyster helpline. They'll sort out a refund for you.

If you have an Oyster online account the incomplete journey should show up and I believe you can enter the details of the missed touch so that the system can calculate the correct charge and then process a refund for collection at a ticket gate or validator at a station of your choosing. TfL have a Youtube video about online Oyster refunds.
