Found this on YouTube. Of particular interest is the footage of the Northern City Line in its very early days of BR operation, with the then brand new class 313 trains sporting their original door opening handles.
It’s also notable just how quiet the system was outside of the peaks.

Also notable how those class 313 doors are released and open before the train stops!

Where was the section on the District filmed? None of the buildings look at all familiar.

Interesting video. I had no idea the class 313s had those handles when they entered service. They don't look very different inside even to this day. I must have a revisit to the Moorgate line and endure the "horror" that is Essex Rd station.

It reminded me of 'An American Werewolf In London'

Heaven knows how much more scary it was when it was tungsten lit!

Where was the section on the District filmed? None of the buildings look at all familiar. That would definitely be the mid-late 1970s. The Class 302 / 308s in blue don't make an appearance any more + lots have changed in the buildings adjacent to the Southend-Fenchurch Street line... now C2C... May & Baker building just east of Dagenham East having disappeared for a start.... and then there's the Mattessons factory next to West Ham !!!

The big acid plant between Bromley By Bow and West Ham has also gone. And what a different station West Ham is now compared to then.
