Currently (20:20 on 05/07/18) a signal failure at Edgware Road is wreaking havoc on the whole SSR.
Anyone know what's happened?

What do 27 points there have in common? Are there some numbers where you can say - oh that must be a blown fuse?

What do 27 points there have in common? Are there some numbers where you can say - oh that must be a blown fuse? There is situations where you might have a suspicion that there is a blown fuse but with points it could be simply down to a bit of ballast in the switch rail to a complete failure of the machine if electric or mechanism if air worked

I suspect that railway jargon has caused confusion here. I don't think that 27 SETS of points have failed!

I suspect that railway jargon has caused confusion here. I don't think that 27 SETS of points have failed! Indeed, sets points are identified with a number, in this case 27, so "27 points failed" almost certainly means that the single set of points numbered 27 has failed.
