Seems there is a mismatch between supply and demand!

You'd have thought there'd be at least 150 of them! 😀

For those of you who are reeling at the chance to get one of these tote bags plus the two lovely handouts inside, the tote team will visit every station on the District Line this year typically five stations a month.
Stations ticked off in January were Westminster, St James's Park, Victoria, Sloane Square and South Kensington.
Today was the day for February which saw off Ealing Broadway, Ealing Common, Acton Town, Chiswick Park and Turnham Green.
The five stations in March are reputed to be at the East end of line.

If anyone's interested in what these look like, do a search on ebay for "underground district tote" and you will see a picture, where some chancer is selling one for 50 squid.

They already do, I can’t remember what the prices were but one big difference is that the ones at Covent Garden are green with 150 in white as opposed to the cream and green ones being handed out at stations.

Really? I'll have a look at their website and see. Don't know when I'm going to the LTM again so I might be able to order one if they're not too expensive.

As it would happen, I was looking on the website on behalf of a friend who was abroad and wanted one. Unfortunately, it’s one of those items that is only sold on site at Covent Garden, if you do get the chance to pop down, it’s on the second floor near the first books island.

I’d assume they don’t plan to stock the bags for that long or in enough bulk quantities to warrant stock listing online as there are quite a number of items that fall into that category. Looking back at some similar sized bags that I’ve bought from London Transport Museum recently I’d guess around £7.99.

I thought I was too far away from London to have an interest in LU (I'm in Ireland), but it seems there are LU geeks all over the world! I've been asked a few times about why I have an interest when I'm not near London. I've never been to the UAE though, I'd be scared to go there. Is your friend originally from London or did he spend time there? It could be that they're a limited edition product and once they're gone that's it. Might have to try and make a trip there.

He is very much still a Londoner but like myself, spent most of his pre uni days following his parents round the world such was the nature of their jobs. Long story short I think he just got a four tier bookshelf from Ikea (which was a couple of inches wider than the racks) and removed the inner three planks where the the luggage racks complete with their brackets could then bolted/screwed into place. Back to the bags, I don't think you need worry about them running out since the year specific memorabilia has in the past lasted for most of that said year. There is still some LU 150 merchandise still available at the time of typing not to mention an abundance of D stock memorabilia in existence.

I have a lecturer in college who has been moved around by her parents since childhood. She's fed up with it now and she wants to settle in one place. I presume he's working in the UAE now? I'd be scared to go there because I don't think they treat women very well (as far as I know anyway). That actually sounds pretty clever and I bet the bookcase looks great! I think I saw some LU150 stuff when I was there and I bought a D stock pen (which is now broken)

holborncentral , I've taken the liberty of starting a new thread for the UAE and its conflicting identities to continue what I find to be a fascinating topic having lived there myself. districtdavesforum.co.uk/thread/30530/enigma-uaeOn the subject of bag handouts, it was commented on Twitter that the next five stations will be out East again.

They skipped Turnham Green! Turnham Green was done in February as part of the Ealing Branch. All stations remaining are either between Hammersmith to Gloucester Road, Fulham Broadway to Edgware Road or Embankment to Becontree.

Have they handed out any on the Wimbledon branch yet, or did the Wombles run off with them? I'd look on the LTM website but I'm skint at the moment
