Hattons have announced Genesis, a range of generic 4 & 6 wheeled carriages in OO gauge. Metropolitan Railway livered carriages will be released as part of batch 3. There is currently no release date or RRP for the batch 3 models. More info www.hattons.co.uk/newsdetail.aspx?id=594

Will they represent the round-topped doors?

Will they represent the round-topped doors? As they are generic, not based on a prototype, it is extremely doubtful that the fairly unusual round topped doors will modelled.

Asking on behalf of a friend: did the Bo'Bo' locos ever pull these?

Asking on behalf of a friend: did the Bo'Bo' locos ever pull these? No, because the carriages are entirely fictional. Which means you can do what you want with them on your layout!

Historically, Jubilee coaches were reintroduced onto the mainline in about 1909 so ran behind the older Westinghouse and BTH locos for a few years until the Dreadnought stock was introduced. They were all gone by the time the Metro Vik locos were introduced.

Would be ideal for a fictional four and six wheeler train at a (present-day era) museum railway using rolling stock from several historic railcos Railways such as the Bluebell Rly already run such trains using bogie carriages, with these models we can create an even older generation of trains.

True, but in this case you can do what you want without someone saying "well actually.."

Their closing is very sad - I understand that the business is still profitable, so at least its an ordered closure rather than a sudden shut down involving receivership and administrators.
In recent years I've made several purchases from Hattons, some of which included tube trains.

In recent years I've made several purchases from Hattons, some of which included tube trains. I've dealt with Hattons over a number of years and have always found them to be excellent. The closure will be a great loss.
