The background in D is East Ham Town Hall. The Balcony has been waiting 40 years for a West Ham United captain to hold aloft the FA cup. Maybe this year?
Inset in C is Eastbury Manor House.

Something to do with being in zones 9, 8, 7 and 5 respectively? I can't see what's unique about them to pick a zone 6 station though.
Edit: Most easterly in the respective zones? So Upminster in zone 6?
