Perhaps this clue would leave you a hop, skip and a jump from the link we are looking for.......

You can triple jump between the two stations?

I can't say I've ever tried that, but it's not the answer I'm looking for. To be fair though, I know the answer and don't understand SE13's clue!
Perhaps looking at a map would help

Highly lateral thinking here, helped by SE13's clue... You can travel to the Victoria Line from Farringdon, Harringay Green Lanes and Belsize Park without changing trains: from Farringdon it's one station (Kings Cross - hop), from Harringay Green Lanes it's two (Blackhorse Road - skip) and from Belsize Park it's three (Euston - jump).
Probably way off beam...

Clever thinking, but it's nowhere near the answer!

Hmmm.... Yeah, agree completely that my clue was possibly the worst ever written....
I actually meant to say A short hop to the answer
I do apologise..... I have a good case in my defence!

Probably way off beam, but anything to do with defunct dog tracks by any chance?

Is it as simple as Farringdon is the only one where you can do the suggested interchanges without leaving the station?

Is it as simple as Farringdon is the only one where you can do the suggested interchanges without leaving the station? You are on the right lines, but not quite right.....

Is it that on departing Heron Quays you pass over (or, having changed to Canary Wharf Underground, under) water?

Is it that on departing Heron Quays you pass over (or, having changed to Canary Wharf Underground, under) water? No. It's to do with interchanges, of sorts, and distances, but as outlined, it might be worth a look on your Tube map......
