I've just tried to send this via the TfL feedback mechanism only for it to be repeatedly swallowed by a 500 internal server error. Hopefully it will find its way from here to the relevant driver and their manager. During the strike on 7th September I travelled from Stockwell to Kings Cross via Bank on the train that departed London Bridge at 1721 (± 1 minute). The train included car 51589 (I think this was the rear DM but I'm not certain of that), originated south of Stockwell and had a destination of Euston via Bank. The driver made lots of very clear announcements regarding the service status, which stations were closed (particularly Angel as that was the only closed station on the section I travelled on), the train destination (Euston is not typical) and, from about Moorgate or Old Street onwards that the train would be arriving into the southbound platform at Euston. She also advised passengers repeatedly (and asked us to make sure the people next to us understood - I did and got ignored by all but the one other person doing the same) that they would be best to alight at Kings Cross and wait there for the following train or take a long walk to the northbound platform at Euston. Given that most people did not alight at Kings Cross (my destination) I suspect that she would still have been surrounded by people who didn't listen The announcements were among the best and most clear I've heard on the underground, and she managed to keep them sounding friendly and light-hearted, although the prospect of the confusion at Euston was obviously frustrating!

Bright annoucements, effectively! But as usual, one person out of ten (if not out of a hundred!) is listening.
