I don't often use Edgware station, but I had cause to yesterday. However, I noticed that it was quite difficult to get accurate information as to forthcoming trains.
There is a large board at the top of the staircase to platforms 2 and 3, but it was mostly blank yesterday.
The platform describers often indicate things like "First train to (destination) from platform X", where X is another platform. However, it is not easy to see the one on platform 1 from the lift area, and no estimate of departure time is given, nor is the route indicated in the "First train" messages, so you have to look at the right platform to see that. OK, you can generally assume that a Kennington train will be via Charing Cross, and most Morden, Tooting or Stockwell trains via Bank, so maybe that point is not such a big problem. However, it is difficult to know if you have time to take the lift to a platform before the train leaves.
Is there a limitation preventing this from being better or are improvements expected?

The board at the top of the stairs goes blank every time a train crosses the junction.
That's why in the morning peak there's a second CSA on the bridge, with a timetable, to tell people what trains where for the 20 seconds that the board's blank.
