Just seen the timetable notice for the advertised closures Mornington Crescent to Charing Cross on the first two weekends in April.
The information on the website is not quite correct, in that the closure is actually Camden Town to Charing Cross, to allow for Crossrail-related works at Tottenham Court Road.
The service will operate as follows:
Edgware – Bank – Morden, every 6 minutes (10 tph) High Barnet – Bank – Morden, every 6 minutes (10 tph) Mill Hill East – Finchley Central, every 15 minutes (4 tph) Charing Cross to Kennington, every 10 minutes (6 tph)

What will the advice be to intending travellers at Camden Town who are currently directed to Mornington Crescent to board on Sundays?

Hope the Kennington - Charing Cross trains will actually display "Charing Cross" when heading north Photo opportunity methinks.

Is not there any Mornington Crescent reverser? There wouldn't be much point in doing such. Mornington Crescent crossover isn't normally used with punters on, and to go one stop down having to reverse the service there is silly when Camden Town is still getting 20tph both ways from the Bank branch! That and there are bus services running the same way. 253 and 168 to Euston, from stop T near Camden Town. These both stop at Mornington Crescent. www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/gettingaround/maps/buses/pdf/camdentown-2041.pdf

It barely seems worth bothering to run a Charing Cross - Kennington shuttle as those stations are all covered by the Bakerloo.

Kennington isn't covered by the Lakerboo!
Elephant and Castle is, but Kennington isn't.
