Hello All
Are LU replacing the old whirring style compressors on the A stock trains?
Quite a few of them seem to have the "newer" ones ala C, D etc etc.
Not good for someone who is little worse for wear at 23:30 getting on at Harrow. Thought I had got lost.......
No thought for those who are already hard of understanding ;D
Kind Regards
Tom C

Ah! now this seems to be a repetition of something that happened in the 70's. As a result of the re-marshalling of the 'R' stock to seven car trains the firm had some 'R' stock compressors going spare. Rather than dump them they were installed under some COP cars and some even made it under 1938 stock!
I distinctly remember them when I did my time at the Elephant and C. I wonder if they have kept some of the '83 stock pumps and bunged them under the 'A' stock?

The A60's have a different design of compressor to those fitted on the A62's. The A62 has the same compressor to those fitted on a C69.
