Heard from two Rickmansworth drivers today that the shuttle will return for the weekend in September where the line is suspended south of Rickmansworth.

Don't believe that to be the case - the September closures allow a Chesham - Rickmansworth South Sidings - Amersham service to be operated. The next shuttle weekend (and last ) is in early Jan '12. ;D

I had an entertaining day on the branch on Monday doing three trips in all (punctuated by a pub lunch). CAn we hope for a light covering of snow next time?

5064 and 5092 were coupled together in service this morning as train 473 (Neasden AM stabler).

I was there from 10-ish until just after 3 and all services seemed to run during that time.

Edit:- Getting days confused. You are talking about sunday while I was there on monday. It's the lack of sleep you know......
