Hello to everyone!!
I am working at the Marketing Department of a Chamber of Commerce and I am representing a company that is looking for UK business partners. They are manufacturing AUTOMATIC BRAKE CONTROL SYSTEMS AND DOOR CLOSING EDGE SENSORS.
... Does anybody outthere know how to get in contact with agents in the railway (including underground) industry?
I am trying to find right contact partners but it is quite difficult.
I am thankful for every comment.
Regards

I am trying to find right contact partners but it is quite difficult. I am thankful for every comment. Regards There are several questions that must be asked. - Is this technology innovative? - Is it currently in production, prototype or planning stages? - Where are you based? I assume not in the UK You will probably not get a person-to-person introduction unless those involved understand your system. Even then, it may be legally necessary for anyone involved with you to declare their interest. This is a vitally important consideration as many of these projects involve public money at some stage, even if it is far removed from the actual order. My suggestion would be that you approach a company that builds locomotives/carriages/whatever this is suitable for. If you can persuade them that you have a viable product, most will enter into a non-disclosure agreement with you in order to assess the potential. They will have the skills, contacts and credibility to communicate with the railway companies. Alternatively they may discuss a licensing agreement. Either way, that is your best initial approach.

Another thought on this matter. Assuming that you are outside the UK, a good point of contact is The British Council or the Business Section of the British Embassy. They have facilities for helping UK companies that seek business with overseas companies. When contacting them, it is worth considering what you have to offer in order to get the best response. For example, they would probably be more interested in helping a company that is offering a two-way business partnership as this would help to increase UK exports. If you have never considered this approach, it might be worth enquiring among those who work with you, as I am sure that there will be someone in your Chamber of Commerce who has already made contact with these bodies and who understands the system.
