C Stock DVA unit

For the more technical amongst you, I have a question.

I'm wondering how the DVA unit in the cab (with the buttons and display) was connected up to the speakers down the train and a power source. Looking on the unit, there appears to only be one connection, does this serve both purposes?

It connects to the train PA unit and thence to the speakers.
Are you trying to actually use one?
