There have been recent threads discussing the Putney Bridge reversing point and the points that allow District line trains to head west from platform 2 at Gloucester Road.

Any idea what new reversing points are planned & if any existing ones are going to be removed? Regarding the District Line only, before the contract with Thales has even been signed, the current plans are: to be removed: Hornchurch; crossover (Jan 16) Dagenham East; siding East Ham; crossover Bromley-by-Bow; crossover (Oct 15) Aldgate East; crossover Mansion House; bay Embankment; crossover South Kensington; crossover Gloucester Road; WB 228 crossover (delayed from July 15) High Street Kensington; access from pfm.4 to WB, Parsons Green; access from EB platform to 21-22Rd Parsons Green; access from WB platform to 23-24Rd Putney Bridge; bay (complete) Putney Bridge; crossover Putney Bridge; current WB platform East Putney; crossover West Kensington; crossover (to be moved further west) Acton Town; direct access to 26 siding (Feb 2016) Ealing Broadway; sidings (Oct/Nov 15) some of these are to be replaced with new facilities: Barking; access from pfm.2 to WB Tower Hill; bay to become connected to EB road - allowing reversal and through running both directions. Embankment/Westminster; new diamond crossover Earl's Court; EB Wimbledon to pfm.1 High Street Kensington; complete renewal of pointwork, easing of curves Parsons Green; new diamond crossover west of station Putney Bridge; bay to become WB platform, no reversing

That never-used small siding at King's Cross St. Pancras that was built to hold wagons which would have carried away spoil from works at the station has been removed. I'm pretty sure the plans are to replace the trailing crossover to the east with a scissors crossover (to the west, I think).

Do you mean the old west-facing bay platform (on the course of the original eastbound line before 1941) ?

That's the only way I've ever heard it described, but the one MoreToJack mentions here. It's still marked on carto.metro in black. A short track extending from between platforms 1 & 2 to the W/B.

What sort of progress has been made on this front?
The last time I was at Gloucester Road (that'd be 01/10) number 228 crossover was still in place. But I hear number 5 crossover has been removed at Bromley-by-Bow, is this correct? (Relatedly, what happens with the semi-auto signals at Bromley-by-Bow, do they remain semi-auto, passable only with authority, or is there some other arrangement?)

Gloucester Rd 228 was delayed because of the Industrial Action and is still used. Bromley-by-Bow was indeed removed and signals remain as semi-automatic.
Major work starts at Ealing Broadway this weekend to remove connections to the sidings, hopefully giving a smoother ride from Monday 2 November.

... Dagenham East; siding ... What will happen to trains terminating at Dagenham East in the bay, will these be extended to Upminster, or cut short to Barking? (If this has even been decided yet)

Ah of course, I've only ever seen a train there once so forgot it was there!
