NR have at least two multiple units in all-over yellow, perhaps it was one of these you saw?

Possibly, rincew1nd, but with the fleeting glance got, I didn't think it was bright chrome yellow, more a dirty ochre with random lines and dashes!

This is what I had in mind, couldn't find a photo though this early in the morning! Whilst at Seven Kings last night a yellow Network Rail test train hauled by a Direct Rail Services Class 37 went through the up slow line in the wrong direction. A couple of hours later a yellow rail treatment train went through on the slow down line (grinding in progress) Assume the test train is a track recording unit as the rail treatment train was grinding at around 0345 this morning (13th October) on the tracks the test train ran over the previous night. Lots of sparks as it went through the platform and burning smells after it passed. Last seen approaching Ilford depot.

I believe I read the Abellio is being dropped from AGA as early as next week. Doubtless we will see some adman's exotic livery appearing on these Aventras when they arrive. In Ilford depot today was a GN class 365 and an unidentified EMU (obscured by another) in some kind of yellow overall vinyls..... Yes its just going to called Greater Anglia from 16 October. They have already started distributing new leaflets such as the Customers Charter, etc.

It was called that previously... seriously, the number of names that franchise has gone through...

However we do get rid of the hated Abellio name, and I hope with it that Dutch state railways logo.... The unit might have been the ERTMS, but if so, it could have done with a wash...

I saw the first Renatus 321 parked up at Ilford when passing on a Braintree service on Tuesday evening. 321303 is my guess. 321448 - the demonstrator - was there when I went through at the back end of last week, still wearing the special livery it picked up on conversion. Bit of a toxic brand with Essex commuters but not quite as much as "Southern Railway" or Govia....

Renatus is back? I assume it'll be used for the launch on Monday then.

Really heavy demolition has happened at the London end. Lots of clear space.

Really heavy demolition has happened at the London end. Lots of clear space. Wrong end.... Its the Country end building (closer to Seven Kings) in the centre of the site that has been dropped... I promise you that its the other, closer to Ilford station/Bombardier shed, that remains. There have been 66's at either end of trucks, collecting the rubble for the past few days on adjacent tracks, between the former building and the mainline(s). The site itself has diggers picking over the concrete flooring. 47812, almost in BR blue, has also been on site yesterday/today.
