Lately, there've been instances of posts where it's been quite difficult to work out who's quoting who. It's nearly always due to incorrect placing of quote attributes meaning that posters end up appearing to attribute somebody else's words to themselves. We try and fix this as we come across it but it can become very tricky to manage if the erroneous post is then re-quoted by somebody else!
I know today's culture encourages us to do things as quickly as possible but a deep breath and a few moments to preview posts before hitting the submit button will go some way to eliminate this problem. Easy.
Thanks!

[ ADMIN HAT OFF] There's a few additional thoughts I'd like to add... Genuinely read and re-read postsEnsure that you fully understand what another member has posted and if unsure, please re-read and repeat. Reactionary PostsPlease don't reply having half-read another post, assuming the worst.... you might be making yourself look silly later on. If In doubt, draft a respond, hold fire, and reconsider the following day. Seek ClarificationTo prevent incidents of aggression / disagreement, if you think the worst, please do not respond aggressively. Instead seek clarification by politely asking questions. Beer BrainIf you've had a couple, think once, think, twice, think three times before replying... particularly if you disagree with a post. [ /ADMIN HAT BACK ON] Oh and BTW, I've made the above mistakes before, so I speak through experience

And if you do make a mistake and only realise it after you have posted, you all have the ability to edit your own posts. You also have the option to delete your own posts if required.
