Two cranes of type KRC250 and a number of tilting rail wagons ( switch delivery system vehicles ) were ordered sometime in 2016. My understanding was that delivery was to be July 2017. One of the cranes, numbered 99709 319002-0 ( and one of the wagons? ), was photographed at a trade exhibition at Messe on 31 May 2017. Otpnet have published such. I have not heard of any of this kit arriving in the UK; neither to a commissioning/training site ( ie Scunthorpe ) nor to a LUL location. Could anyone please say where the matter stands? CC <<superteacher>> Thread title amended to change words from capitals to lower case. Using words in all capitals is considered to be shouting. Thanks.

I had hoped that the order for foreign cranes had been cancelled, in favour of two British-built Walden Goliath Cranes.

I did a quick search for Walden Goliath cranes and the only thing on the internet was the sort of crane you find in seaside amusement arcades. Kirow are one of, if not, the major manufacturers of specialist cranes for lifting track panels; they are almost universally used on NR and LU. Why would any sensible consumer not shop with the experts?

One crane is at Kirow works awaiting client acceptance. One crane at an unspecified nearby location undergoing some testing. Wagons - location not elicited.

Arrived Ruislip Depot 26/11/19.
I must admit I didn't get a close up view of them so can't say how many vehicles are involved.
