Upminster floodlight question

Having created the District Dave website a few years ago [yes I know it's out of date], I have received the following in my inbox:

Hi , I wonder if you could help settle a search query I have. Does the depot have overhead spotlights on a gantry that can be seen from a distance ?

I am asking purely because a few of us when dog walking in the morning can see a bright light due west of us but haven’t been able to work out where it comes from !I have used google earth to try and locate it and am hoping that it is from the depot. The light seems to go off just after dawn so would presume its for maintenance purposes. Here's hoping u can give closure to our search, cheers

I have advised that the floodlights do relate to the Depot (West Ham don't have a nighttime secret and covert training base in Upminster).

Would anyone like to add any more...??

Must be those two giant towers, at the end of 43 road and the other at the throat. they sure do evoke an atmosphere on a misty/foggy day.

When I first went on the District we used to re lamp those it’s very scary climbing up but what a fantastic view
