A good few months ago, I saw the destination “Boston Manor” on a platform DMI - think it was Green Park. I’d never seen it before, and didn’t think it was possible to terminate a train there, unless there is a main line shunt west of the platform, then into Northfields depot. The train pulled in and was displaying “Northfields” as its destination, which is where I assume it ended up. Was Boston Manor just a glitch? If so, why would a code exist for it?
Severe Delays are occurring to my thought patterns due to overworking and long hours!
Can anyone actually read the Picc dest. displays? they're usually covered with grime (much like the rest of the exterior these days) and if you can see past the dirt it's very small lettering.
I dont its down to width as the Northern and Jubilee lines have front displays that are of a similar length and colour come to think of it. More likely to be the dirt which is increasingly becoming part of the colour pallete for those trains.
