Might be coincidence - they all end with a vowel and then an "n". Barbican being the odd one out as it is "an" while the others are "on"? Just a guess.

Yes, on this occasion the link is as simple as all the stations having names ending with "n".
The bonus question is still to find, you might want to reread it though.

Are you sure about Leyton Chris - Leyton doesn't have an island platform which is certainly the impression given by this photograph.

Yes. If you look at the bottom of the way out sign in the lower right you will see "Leyt[on Orient f]ootball clu[b.]". The only London Underground station in proximity to Leyton Orient's stadium is Leyton (Lea Bridge is National Rail and wasn't built when this photo was taken, Leyton Midland Road is London Overground and on a viaduct. Leytonstone is much further away and the entrance to the platforms there is up from the subway not down from a bridge). I think what you are interpreting as a platform face on the left is actually a combination of the extra walkway that's opened for football traffic and reflection of the track to the right.

B is the odd one out as all the other pictures were taken on the platforms. B is the odd one out, but not for the reason you’ve given.

Spot on. The reason for this is that I don't have any photos of Leyton suitable for the quiz that have trains in!
