On a number of weekends in the future the following closures are in place:
Action town to Heathrow Rayners lane to Uxbridge
The met is running to Uxbridge on all the weekends where the the above closure is in effect. Why is the Piccadilly not running to Uxbridge when the closure seems to be to do with the Heathrow branch?

Why is the Piccadilly not running to Uxbridge when the closure seems to be to do with the Heathrow branch? Northfields depot being within the possession cannot provide any trains, South Harrow closed too, so all service trains have to come from Arnos Grove and Cockfosters - not enough to provide beyond Rayners Lane

Don’t remember the last time Barons Court was used to reverse scheduled trains. Years ago, it was a regular off-peak reversing point but apart from unscheduled use, I can’t recall any occasions in recent years where trains have been booked to reverse there.

In more recent times hasn't it been used to reverse at Hammersmith both platforms, with passenger working through the siding either to or from as necessary?

Scheduled reversers must've stopped around 1980/81. As a guard, I remember doing a duty that was booked to reverse at Barons Court. However, I qualified as a Motorman in 1981 and never did a duty scheduled to reverse at BC again.

Back in the 1970s it seemed that around half of the Bakerloo duties involved Elephant-Queen's Park shuttles, and even at Queen's Park the sun was hidden. Out in the station the glass canopies were once whitewashed for wartime blackout! No longer white! And then up in the reversing sidings you were hidden in a shed! Hard to get your required vitamin D!

They were pretty much all Queens Park - Elephant, except for the four trains to / from Watford.

An enhanced 10 minute service [ 6 trains per hour ] will operate on the Uxbridge branch, with trains normally booked to reverse at Rayners Lane extended to/from Uxbridge over the weekend of 20/21 November 2021.
