Standing on the Eastbound platform, with a train occupying the Westbound platform, I noticed some flashing at the under the front of the train, which for an instant, I thought was arcing. (Worrying as the train was not in motion.)
I very quickly realised it wasn't - wrong colour and too regular. When the train departed you could see two small lamps between the rails, with a white/orange(ish) colour flashing regularly.
I've never noticed anything similar anywhere on the underground. Can anyone say what they are?

Pretty sure these are temporary speed limit markers, though I can't find a reference to that right this instant.
