Does anyone know what work is going on between Acton Town and Heathrow over Christmas 2021 & New Year 2022?
Many thanks
Apologies if this has been mentioned already, but I could not find anything?

Is there any system to which ends of a set of points are labelled A and which B? e.g. 11 and 12 have A at the east end and B at the west, but this is the opposite for all the others on this diagram; if it was related to line direction then 16/17 and 20/21 would have A and B at opposite ends but they don't.

Normally the A end of points is nearest to the Signal Cabin or Interlocking Machine Room which controls them .

Are the new 13 and 23 points for the additional stabling sidings? I understand No. 7 siding will be shut for the first six months of 2022 to install the new ones required by DTUP.
Regards,
Dan

There were originally three sidings between the running lines west of Northfields: 7, 8, and 9. See link . Are they just relaying them? I suppose that is progress!

The ironwork is being installed but not commissioned; No. 7 siding will not be returned to service at the end of the possession.
The 'new' 7, 8 and 9 sidings will be similar, but not identical, to the old ones, which were removed in the early 1970s.

Are the new sidings being renumber, I think No 7 will become 22 road what will be the other numbers ?

From what I've seen they're being kept as 7, 8 and 9. At one point they were going to be 5 and 6 until it was pointed out that 5 & 6 roads both exist already!
