It is my sad duty to confirm that owner Phil Radley has passed away.
I don’t know exactly what this means for the business and what happens next but I will keep you informed when I hear.

Oh no, I am very sorry to hear this.
Apart from what you did with Radley Models, were there any other people involved?
Added the clarification about Metman's involvement with Radley Models, to reduce any possibility of misreading and suggesting that he was involved in Phil's sad passing. Tom.

Yes there were others who worked with him so hopefully we will have news later when things settle down.
Obviously, if his family could be afforded some privacy it would be appreciated.

Thanks Metman, as it happens I was about to place another order with Radleys but will hold back for now.
Also, I apologise for a comment that could have been misunderstood in a very bad way. I should have made it clearer that you had a professional business relationship.

I haven't heard anything from Pat [Phil's wife] but I am away from home at present. I only know what has been passed on this forum and on RMWeb.

Any more news with regard to the businss? Not yet, but like you I am hoping to hear something later this month. From what I saw on RMWeb, discussions are underway but until its all been agreed nothing will be disclosed in public. Of course we all hope that the products remain available and the range even expands ... I too am hoping to be able to purchase more items over the coming year(s)

The May 2023 edition of 'Underground News' (the magazine of the London Underground Railway Society) includes a modelling update which talks about forthcoming new models of London Transport (and Metropolitan Railway) trains - including the possibility of another model train manufacturer introducing some London Underground trains - and also provides updated information regarding the model trains which were sold by the late Phil Radley.
The O gauge trains that Phil marketed were actually produced by someone else. It is not explicitly stated whether or how these will be marketed in the future.
At least some of the OO range is likely to become available again, but everything is taking time because Phil's estate is still in probate.
