Hi This is my first post as I am new to this forum. I am in possession of a London District Railway Stations Buffet Canteen War Workers Badge which I believe is of WW1 origin. I know that WW1 War Service badges were given to a variety of workers who were involved during WW1 in manufacturing and proving services such as respite centres for soldiers and those working in the various industries required to sustain this massive effort on the part of the country. Previously I have seen, and I do have, On War Service Badge for Munitions workers and Rest Centre workers. But this is the first badge of its type that I have seen, issued to railway canteen workers. I am hoping that there maybe someone on the forum who could provide me with some more information about this service, as I have found nothing so far.
I would have attached an image but being new to this site I can't find the attachment button, but will in due course no doubt.
Thank you for reading this. David

It might be better to add this to the "historic" section a bit further down the home page.
