I was bored this evening, so I decided to take a ride on the Picc up to Cockyfosters (a very wet one too!!), got on a Northbound Picc at Finsbury Park which was terminating at Wood Green and I decided to change there for a though Cockfosters service, upon departure from FP the T/op addresses the Train that Manor House is closed due to Police request, which it indeed was as we passed though the NB Plat.
My original plan was to try and get a Bus from Cockfosters to Epping and take the Central back west, but because there was unfortunately no Bus that went to Epping (and there was me thinking there was!) - that plan went out the window, so back onto the Picc to Fins Pk, as we sit at Turnpike Lane the T/op makes the situation happening at Manor House aware to the punters, as the Train motored away from Turnpike Lane the T/op once again comes over the PA and announces that Manor House has reopened for public use and that the Train will stop there.
Anybody know anymore on what happened to cause Manor House to close?

a Bus from Cockfosters to Epping You've GOT to be joking: wherever did you get that idea? Oakwood - Enfield - Chingford - Epping is a possibility (or was,) but Cockfosters - Potters Bar (then either St Albans or Waltham Cross/Abbey) is about all you can do from there.

Lovely Jubbly, right im my area. From Oakwood to Epping.
1). 121 to Enfield Isnalnd Village 491 to Waltham Cross 213 to Epping
2). 121 to Hertford Road 279 to Waltham Cross 213 to Epping
On that day I was going to and from G.O.S.H. also via the Picc. On the way there, the Driver announced that the station was closed, but gave no reason for this. I noticed that the big tube map was folded out and said:
STATION CLOSED 5 MPH [glow=orange,2,300](Orange Hazard Light Thingy)[/glow]

You can get to High Barnet on a 384 (I think) from Cockfosters. It is a windy back street route which I find quite interesting

Interesting run through Highgate, Stroud Green and Crouch Hill... So is the G1 in South London, from Battersea to Streatham High Rd. It has a lot of twists and turns, goes through the grounds of two hospitals (one A&E one psychiatric), reverses in some garages in a housing estate at one point (nowhere else to reverse in estate) and goes through traffic measures that make the road look thinner than the bus! All good fun!! BTW I realise that this doesn't have a lot to do with Manor House I'm gonna start a new thread in General Questions and Answers

Yeah, we seem to be drifting wildly off-topic again... And just to being us back into port again.
Manor House has been refurbished to a very good standard.
There!
