I'm interested to know if there is a speed limit through the scissors crossover at Heathrow 123? I know there is a 30mph speed check on approach, but I assume that this is to decrease the home signals overlap, rather than being the speed limit for the crossover?

If thats the case, it surprises me, given that the crossover has similar dimensions to Brixton's 50mph crossover.

If going to platform 1 (to the right) it is 30mph, illumunated speed box) to platform 2 line speed. As posted, the pre 30 speed restriction gets the speed down and there really isn't all that much distance to wind the train up to line speed before you have to break for platform entry. When T5 is operational I would guess that the speeds would be lowered further.
