I gather that because of engineering this weekend WG-Cockfosters is by bus so does that mean WG siding is being used once again? I have find memories of trying to get north of WG to Oakwood in the past woith all the turning back there (Barons Court-WG I think)

Who the hell wants to go to Cockfosters? Everyone with any free time will be heading for Baker Street (except for ChrisM)

Cockfosters is the best station, next to Mill Hill East of course! ;D Apprently last night there was a signal failure at Cockfosters, just in time for the engineering works

Yeah - Wood Green siding will be used this weekend, with reversing T/OPs used to facilitate quick reversals (hopefully!)

There will simply be no access to Arnos Grove sidings and Cockfosters Depot. The trains that usually stable there will just be stranded over the weekend. There is no outstabling of trains at Wood Green; so the rest of the Piccadilly Line this weekend will be dependent on the stabling locations on the west end of the line.

No Cockfosters - No doubt sufficient trains will be stabled in the West to maintain the service.
"Who wants to go to Cockfosters ? " It used to be one of my favourite Lines . (One can have too much of the Met (!!) and want a change) I used to go all dreamy when I went out there and wallowed in the 'Thirties" atmosphere.

Yeah - the Friday night before the blockade, there are a series of timetable alterations to ensure the transfer of some trains from Cockfosters Depot to Northfields Depot. And this had to be un-done on Monday morning.
