I hopped off a Picc Line train the other day at Gloucester Road, for no other reason than the train was so packed I was going to get on a quieter one behind it - I was shocked. This platform should be part of an LU museum feature!! Everything was ancient! Are there any plans to modernise soon?

Because it is going towards Exams etc.

On the basis that Gloucester Road is covered in scaffolding at street level, I'd say the station is undergoing it's "modernisation". The station is maintained by Metronet - but the Picc platforms are technically a Tubelines asset. I'd expect that the platforms will 'get done', but some negotiation between the infraco's will most likely occur first.

As the station is a Metronet one I believe that everything except the Picc track and signals are Metronet responsibilities, Tubelines will have no say on the Picc platforms.

When I worked on the Picc, Southgate was by far the best "totty" station. Cockfosters came a close second. We used to do the 08:03 ex Cock to NFDT & stable. There were two girls, twins, who used to get this train every day and they would sit side by side by the guard's position all the way from Cfs to Green Pk. They had to walk all the way down the platform to the exit at the west end. I used to watch them as the train ran out. I wonder where they are now.

As the station is a Metronet one I believe that everything except the Picc track and signals are Metronet responsibilities, Tubelines will have no say on the Picc platforms. We had the same set up at Earls court - the station is essentially metronet's repsonsibility, but anything specific to the Picc platforms came under Tubelines domain.
