I read a while ago that a minicomputer was installed in IMR 'WY' as part of a trial into computerised signalling. Is there any information available on how it was installed and how it was used? ISTR that it was originally used at Watford in IMR 'JP'.
Also, with trains standing in both platforms at T123, how close can trains get on the e/b and the w/b?
Finally, what modifications were made to the interlocking to provide for the presence of PiccEx Junction? BAET once said that in 1986 the IMR was modified to add two controlled sticks, WY1 and WY2, and a draw-up signal, WY100. Are these signals still in place?

Watford was the trial location with a VDU in Rickmansworth cabin, Heathrow was first location although at Earls Court control room it is treated as a programme machine site look what happened when the East end of the Picc went over to computers, chaos software problems and operator problems.

Also, with trains standing in both platforms at T123, how close can trains get on the e/b and the w/b? At the present time with the work to T5, coming from around the loop WY1 is the furthest you can get. Coming from Hatton Cross if the route from Platform 1 at T123 has been selected or called for you will get as far as WY12. If not, then WY11. WY9 has now been resited as the WB starter to T5. Finally, what modifications were made to the interlocking to provide for the presence of PiccEx Junction? BAET once said that in 1986 the IMR was modified to add two controlled sticks, WY1 and WY2, and a draw-up signal, WY100. Are these signals still in place? WY100, WY1, WY2a and 2b are still in place. Resited how? Is there a list available of all the controlled sticks at WY? Finally, what modifications were made to the interlocking to provide for the presence of PiccEx Junction? I'm assuming that WY1 is the outer home for the station and the junction signal for the tunnel split, right?

I have nothing against your photo skills, but that set of pictures only makes things as clear as mud It would help if I could remember which platform was which at T123 - is platform 2 the w/b platform?

The 1st, 2nd & 4th pictures are correct in your description. The third picture shows the EB line coming from T5.

Did I see a line diagram a while back please, as I would love to make sense of it as it now is?
