Quick request - does anybody have any photos of Oakwood's Eastbound platform, particularly of the scenery to the non-platform side of it?
Thanks.

I don't have photos, but I can tell you that the eastbound headshunt siding is bounded by a wall with advert mounts on it, in the Holden style.

world.nycsubway.org/perl/show?7956 has a picture of Oakwood that might help a little. Its by our very own Tomcakes who might have more photos (his fotopic gallery is "dormant" so I can't see for myself). I've sent him a PM letting him know about this thread.

Chris....wasnt this thread started by Tomcakes? erm, indeed it was That'll teach me to do complicated things without checking simple things first (although I should already know this, having swapped a very heavy old 21" CRT monitor for an identical one (kept under a desk on the opposite side of the room) in an attempt to cure an intermittent failutre, only to discover it was the cable at fault...)

And indeed, is effectively identical with the wall bounding the w/b track if you have pics of that side. Rough slabbed panelled concrete (probably pre-cast).

Thanks ChrisM I knew I had those photos, however none of them show the other side of the track - ie the one to the left of the train in that picture.

With any luck I should have the best part of a day to do some photography in London next month. I've not been to the northern end of the Picc so I'll try and get the shots you want of Oakwood then if nobody has come up with the goods before that time.
