Shame it's not the other way around, I've still never driven on the fast Acton - Hammersmith.

I had a couple of District drivers in my Picc cab the other day and they said they will be running down the fast sometime in March, don;t know how true that is.

Yup, quite true.
IIRC the Duty Managers were mentioning that we'd be doing this during the Chiswick Park platform closures; I *think* the first is end of this month.
Haven't seen the actual timetable notice yet though as to whether it's all day or just at certain times.

I've not done either, Piccadillys on the local or Districts on the fast. Do you know if Piccadillys will make additional calls at Ravenscourt Park, Stamford Brook, Turnham Green and Chiswick Park over those weekends?

A few chances to bash Canary Warf junction on the jubby ...

If the District is running down the fast (at least the Ealing Broadways - I presume the Richmonds will continue to use the local) I would expect that they will be getting passengers for Stations between Turnham Green and Hammersmith to use the Richmond service and the Ealing Bradways will non stop.
We'll have a look one the TTN is out!

ps. viz-27/07 District Line trains running down the FAST are required to stop at intermediate stations where they can.

Why do some of the fast lines have platforms and some have not? And why does one station have a platform east but not westbound?? (swap east for west if needed)

Because the northern pair of lines (the eastbound tracks) were built after the southern pair of lines (the westbound tracks), and were originally unelectrified to boot.
