I have heard from enthusiasts as well as fellow staff there is a 5th platform at Camden, any truths in it?

There are no extra platforms at Camden. The only unused tunnels there are part of the 1940s wartime shelter, built to provide deep-level platforms for an express tube line duplicating the Northern line.

Thats what they want you to think ;D I've heard about this to, but thought nothing of it. Sounds similar to the rumour that there are 1000 steam engines hidden deep in a quarry/mine in lancashire so that if there is a clever attack which puts out all electric and electronic devices there will still be a means of propulsion. It's been denied for decades but it does not mean that some still believe it Some even claim to have 'evidence'. But how do you actually DISPROVE something like this? You can't.

Ahh, the sunday sport, what a respected publication! ;D
"My son turned into a fish finger" British press can only do that! ;D
As to the 1000 steam engines, I have heard that one, has echoes of Roswell about it.

You can't. The story that I heard was that this was the real reason that the deep coal mines in England and Wales were closed. By so doing, those in power provided the necessary means and locations to disperse the locomotives - the idea being that if one mine was destroyed in an attack, there would still be a supply of locos (and coal). It appears that an ex-coal miner is currently employed to go round the mines chiseling coal out of the walls and filling the tenders to make them ready, while an ex-BR fireman is slowly treating the locomotives with WD40 and 3-in-one oil. I also heard that one of the locomotives is non-operational, being stored for canibalisation in case any of the other 999 need spare parts. Edit: I have had several enquiries regarding the authenticity of these facts. To clarify matters, I can confirm that my source was an Italian politician who was told the story by a former used-car salesman who now breeds flying pigs.
