A recent acquisition has unearthed an article on that most unlikely of ‘UndergrounD’ lines that one could ever imagine – the Brill branch. In the year that it closed, Charles Lee (1935) delivers another one of his wonderful compositions which details the history of the Wotton Tramway, Oxford and Aylesbury Tramway, and late Metropolitan Railway’s targetting the ‘City of Dreaming Spires’ (or is that Perspiring Dreams! ;D).
Some wonderful photos too, many of which I have not seen in print before along with some old favourites. It’s a big file so it is chopped it in two – each half is still 3.5 MB though.
The two halves can be found as Part ‘a’ and Part ‘b’.
