My American fiance came over for a visit and so I was doing a lot of things (travel-wise) I wouldn't usually do. One of these was a rail journey from Victoria to Lewes. Quite early on in the journey, my lady suddenly went sort of crazy. Apparently we had passed a red and white road bridge which happened to have a red bus going over it at that moment. Bus going over a bridge. Big deal. But she thought it was the sweetest thing - a never forgotten enchanting thing. Does anyone on here have an idea exactly which bridge it might have been as she now wants a picture of it - preferably with a bus going over it. Definitely South London and the bridge was on the right side of the train as we traveled south towards Gatwick. The track and the bridge run more or less parallel.

I agree..Chelsea (originally Victoria) Bridge: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chelsea_BridgeA sort of connection is that the Canadian PM of the time, Mackenzie-King, opened the bridge in 1937 as most of the timber used was supplied from the Dominion of Canada.

Thanks Stig. Never would have guessed it was that close to Victoria. My memory playing tricks on me.
