I was astonished to see the West London Central line RAT yesterday - passing through Gants Hill station. Happily, with seconds to spare I managed to get my camcorder out of a pocket.
It was very much a brief encounter, although I then caught up with it at Leytonstone.
Its just as well that I looked at the train describer immediately after alighting from the down escalator - I only had an inkling that it might be coming because I saw that the first train was a 'special' - sort of 'get the camera about asap - just in case - and then be ready in case its of interest'.

Now available to watch on video...
Someone told me that there is a gauging issue which affects the 8 car train, hence this train being drafted in.

It's not hanging around is it? I was surprised that it was going at even that speed - maybe though this was the regulation non-stop speed, its just that it seemed to be going faster than that. That platform was also somewhat crowded for the time of day, I wonder how long people had been waiting for the next train. Almost like the am rush hour!

It's not hanging around is it? Well,I suppose it had plenty of grip!!! Quite the opposite in fact. Its very easy to get the wheels spinning/wheels locked up on wet sandite, its only as it starts to spread and get crushed does it really start performing.
