OK, I can see some of the reasoning for the reduced service last weekend. But how does this 1.5-2.5minute dwell time compare with permitted dwell times at other through stations where passengers have heavy baggage such as T4, or at present Hatton X? I still think that dwell times of over 1.5mins are a bit excessive! Funny you should say that, on the current WTT for the Picc, pretty much all WB trains to Heathrow have a dwell time of 1.5 mins at Hatton Cross, and EB trains at Hatton Cross have dwell time of 1 min. That was put in for the expected increase in dwell time at Hatton Cross for passengers to transfer on to/from Hatton Cross and the Rail Replacement Bus service to T4. In reality, from what I've seen that dwell time is actually not needed. The drivers keep the doors open as long as necessary and then depart. I've not noticed a substantial increase in traffic at Hatton Cross - this was based on an Monday afternoon observation.
