If they hold it in the bay then it's on view to the public. Also you can stand on the public footbridge that goes over the mainline and look toward the Tmd or from platform 5.

All I saw was a scrolling destination on the front. So like the Southern. 15 & 13 had temp vocal announcements I found out through fiddling around with the tcms ;-) Sonia is alive and kicking ;-)

Right here's a bit of info that I managed to find out Friday night about the next few 378 deliveries... Until 378005 & 378007 have been sold to Lorol/TfL then no more can be sent down as the rule seems to be no more than 5 unsold units at the tmd at any one time. Good news is that the sale is going to happen shortly and within the next 10 days, around 14th/15th July 5 & 7 should go into service (fingers crossed) and then Bombardier will start to send 2 more down and so on... So no more 378's arriving at Willesden until probably 16th, which is a Thursday and seems to be the normal day they arrive..
Hope this info helps ??

routemasterkeith I was told that when a unit comes out of the factory they get put into the sidings. If 3 went first and the 4 went on top then 5 on top of that then 5 would be the first to be sent down and so on.. Seems odd though that 16 has arrived giving the impression that there are possibly 12 other units sitting at Derby waiting to come down. Hope this helps ?? and I hope this is correct..

At the moment the slow lines have been blocked and the points from the fast to the slow have been removed so it's off to MK for the turn around.

013 mileage started on Monday and all is going well so far... 015 had to be zero'd last week due to a traction motor problem and seems to be going fine as of last nights runs to Milton Keynes and back..

Fingers crossed for Monday 6th July as this date has not been cancelled, yet, for the introduction of a couple of 378's in passenger service between Richmond and Stratford and a couple of journeys to Clapham Junction..

Snippet taken from londonreconnections.blogspot.com/2009/06/tfl-board-meeting-report-0609.htmlA temporary peak timetable was introduced on 20 April, delivering three trains per hour between Stratford and Richmond and three trains per hour between Stratford and Clapham Junction. This is a temporary change of frequency to protect service reliability until works are completed on the Richmond to Stratford Line and to date performance has been very good since this change has been introduced. The change results in more overall peak capacity and more regular intervals which helps to address crowding issues and will be in place until the end of the year.

The plan seems to be to run them on the NLL & WLL first as this will give them more time to sort out any bugs in the cctv system..

Chris, That's what I was told last night. Fingers crossed... A couple of Conductor managers were out on the D.C. last night with 378007 training themselves up and a few D.I.'s were being trained aswell. It's a shame that 15 broke down last night though :-( it was going ever so well...

378 05 07 & 15 all been modded.. I believe that the issue with the 378 that they use 130mm bearings rather than the 120mm bearings used in other electrostars. The reduced clearance is causing earth return problems with the earth brushes. The solution is to insert an insulating washer. 378015 have carried out 8 trips to Bletchley and is booked to do 3 more tonight (Friday) Dep around 22.30/22.50 heading to Bletchley. 378013 arrived last night and I tucked it away in the shed ;-) Still no set date for service.

Keith I did hear about new uniform shortly ;-) astock5000.. No def date on 378's in service except the 29th is what is being mooted around but as you must be aware dates can get cancelled due to unforseen circumstances. As with the passenger info screens.. I heard something to do with electric certifications ie making sure that the electrics don't interfere with anything else.. If I hear any more I'll pass it on..
